The School places a high premium on academic excellence as well as moral, physical and social upbringing of the child. As a result of this, the school provides rewards for two main areas:

Academic

Non-academic Performance.

ACADEMIC AWARDS NURSERY/PRIMARY SCHOOL

The best three pupils in the Nursery and Primary school classes are given awards during the annual graduation ceremony.

The marks of each pupil is calculated for the three terms and divided by three. To give fair treatment to those admitted in second term, two terms marks are calculated and divided by two.

JUNIOR AND SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

(i)    The best students in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, English Language and Science subjects in each class are given awards.

 (ii) Students who excel in external competitions.

NON-ACADEMIC AWARD

(i)    The most active form captain.

(ii)   The most active club/society.

(iii) The best behaved pupils/students during the session.

(iv) The best dressed pupil/student in the school in a session.

(v)   The most active school prefect.

(vi) The best house during the school annual Inter-house competitions.

 

TYPES OF AWARDS

(i)    Prizes (cash or kind).

(ii)   Certificates.

(iii) Commendation letters.

(iv) Verbal commendation by teachers and management especially during assembly.

(v)   Good Testimonials.

STAFF AWARD

The school authority motivates the teaching and non- teaching staff through

(i)    Granting female teachers two months maternity leave

(ii)   Encouraging the teaching staff to run part-time programmes to improve themselves

(iii) Giving them prizes twice a year-at the end of each school calendar year and at Christmas

(iv) Paying teachers during the long vacation

(v)           Giving staff a reduction in school fees for a child, for the staff having two children in the school or maximum of two when the staff has three and above children in the school.
